ANNUAL CONVENTION 2015
LIWONPAD will be celebrating her 3rd annual convention this 17th - 19th April 2015 in Sandvika city. Arrival will be on Friday 17.04.15, the meeting will be on Saturday 18.04.15 from 09:00 a.m - 15:00 p.m and the grand dance will be on the same Saturday evening from 20:00 p.m. to the wee-wee hours at the Sandvika red cross in Oslo. Departure on Sunday 19.04.15. The address is Sandvika Red Cross building, Smiths vei 1, 1337 Sandvika.
Important of all is the fact that the Liberian women decided to be unified this year during the convention. This means all the liberian women who are willing to be unified on that day are going to wear the same color and print of lappers. The lappers will be provided by LIWONPAD, and the cost for three (3) lappers is 500 NOK cash. The 500 NOK will be paid upon receiving the lappers. The accountnr. for the payment of the 500kr for the lappers is: 28012176491. The photo of the lappers will be on our liwonpad facebook and on our website as soon as it arrives.
NB: All LIWONPAD members will pay 700kr for the entire program for the two days; for lodging, food and entrance fees.
Our guest speaker will be coming from the United states of American. She is a Liberian woman working in American politics.
Every Liberian woman is invited to be a part of this program, as the organization LIWONPAD is for all Liberian women living in Norway.

LIWONPAD ACTIVITIES FROM 2012-2015
LIWONPAD has had three annual Conventions and three conferances including one fundraising program after its establishment in April 2012.
Her first conference was during the establishment in Kristiansand April 28, 2012, when her officials were elected into office. The second conference after the establishment was held in Trondheim in November 2012 at which time the first amendment of the drafted constitution was done.
LIWONPAD first annual convention after her establishement was held in Harstad in April 2013, at which time a project proposal on supporting rape victims in Liberia was developed by the women. The third conference which was LIWONPAD first official fundraising program was held in 2013 in Trondheim.
The second convention was held in Kristiansand in April 2014 at which time LIWONPAD had a re/election of new officials. This election was headed by an election commission which consisted of three men; the head of the election commision Mr. Edward Jada Coordinator for Baterriet organization, Mr. Phillip Weah- President of LAASN in Kristiansand and Pastor Luwis Griggs from Kristiansand). A fourth conference was to have been held in December 2014, but due to the women occupation with the Ebola project to help in irradicating Ebola from Liberia, it was postponed.
LIWONPAD third and more special annual convention was held in Sandvika/ Bærum April 28, 2015. It was special in that all most all the women were unified in lappers with the same print.
One of LIWONPAD's most important events were the all Liberians network meeting and the Ebola awareness project.
LIWONPAD in collaboration with the Ad-hoc committee organized an Ebola awarness and support project in order to help fight against Ebola in Liberia. A 40ft container with hospital beds, matrasses, wheel chairs, and dispensable materials was sent to Liberia and distibuted to clinics that were in need of these things to help Ebola patients.
An all Liberian network meeting was held in Trondheim city on February 27-28, 2015. This network meeting was an opportunity for Liberians living in Norway to meet and dicuss how they can buld a networking system among Liberians in Norway.
LIWONPAD is presently undertaking a project to give awareness to people from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea who live n Norway. The LIWONPAD Ebola team has already hosted awarness meetings in Trondheim, Bergen and Sandvika. The remaining Municipalities to host the awareness in will be Stavanger, Kristiansand and Tromsø.

THE ALL LIBERIANS NETWORK MEETING
LIWONPAD is organizing an all Liberians network meeting for all Liberians organizations in Norway and other Liberians representatives from different communes in Norway. The meeting is intended to build network among all Liberians living in Norway, in order for all National issues arising in the future be resolved as one big unity Liberian body.
The meeting will take place in Trondheim city on 27th - 28th February 2015. Arrival day will be Friday 27th and the meeting on Saturday 28th and will be climaxed by a grand dance Saturday evening from 20:00 p.m. Departure will be Sunday 29.02.15.

Our organization is solely depending on moral, social and economic support from all patriots of Liberia that we believe have passion for their country and people of Liberia. Every member of LIWONPAD is to pay a yearly due payment of 1,100 kr to the organization's account. The 1,100 kr will be used for members social welfare and the project to support rape victims in Liberia. The bank account to which the due payment is to be made is: 15034156899.
We have a huge project to undertake which is, to give financial, materials and psycho social support to young girls who are victims of rape in Liberia. We can not undertake this huge project in supporting rape victims in Liberia without your support. You can send your support or yearly due payment to our organization account which is: 15034156899. ACTION AGAINST EBOLA IN LIBERIA, BY LIBERIAN WOMEN & MEN IN NORWAY
LIWONPAD COLLABORATION WITH THE ALL LIBERIANS AD-HOC COMMITTEE FOR AN ACTION AGAINST EBOLA IN LIBERIA, AUGUST 2014.
FIRST OF ALL AN EBOLA MATCH WAS CARRIED OUT INFRONT OF THE PARLAMENT BUILDING IN OSLO. WE WORE T-SHIRTS PRINTED WITH TEXTS SUCH AS " HELP ILIMINATE EBOLA FROM LIBERIA/ AFRICA.
THROUGH OUR PERSONAL CONTRIBUTIONS AND DONATIONS, WE WERE ABLE TO SEND A 40FT CONTAINER TO LIBERIA TO BE DISTIBUTED TO CLINICS OR CENTERS THAT WERE TREATING EBOLA PATIENTS.
IN JANUARY 2015, THE PRESIDENT OF AD-HOC COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN FOLLOWED THE CONTAINER SENT (WITH MEDICAL BEDS, WHEEL CHAIRS, LOT OF ANTI-BACTERIAL WIPES, ECT.)
THANKS TO ALL THE WOMEN IN NORWAY WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THE ACTION AGAINST EBOLA IN LIBERIA.

RESULT FROM ALL IBERIAN NETWORK MEETING HELD IN TRONDHEIM FEB. 27-28, 2015
We will like to first of all extend our thanks and appreiations to those who sacrificed to be able to have participated in the all Liberians network meeting in Trondheim Feb. 27-28, 2015. What you did was done for all Liberians living in Norway and for your country Liberia.
Those who attended the all Liberian network meeting in Trondheim were representatives from Liberians organizations as follow: LICIN organization in Oslo, ULAN, ALIN organization in Trondheim, The United Sisters Association, LAH organization in Bergen, LINFA organization in Kongsberg, ULINFOB organization in Bærum and the Chairman for the All Liberians Ad-hoc committee. There were also representatives from the Municipality of Kristiansund, Municipality of Stensial, youth representatives from the Municipality of Bærum.
The total amount of participants at this meeting were about 35 persons. Many people did not come because of their work schedules and other private issues.
After all the group discussions, the paticipnts gave a mandate to the leadership group which comprised of all the leaders of all the Liberian organizatins in Norway, to come up with a solution to how all liberians can build a network system where all Liberians can start to work in unity in Norway.
The leaders promised to work with the different recommendations made by the participants during the group discusions, especially the leadership group recommendations, inorder to find the way forward to unity amongst Liberians. The leaders promised to host the first meeting in March 2015, and will give a report on the out come of the meeting to the women organization.
Many of the participants already started suggesting celebration of Liberian independence day ( July 26th) as a good start to create unity amongst Liberians in Norway, but it's up to the leaders to decide the way forward.
LIWONPAD was responsible for lodging and feeding for the paticipants during the network meeting in Trondheim Feb. 27-28, 2015..

ALL LIBERIAN NETWORK MEETING IN TRONDHEIM
Ebola spreads rapidly like wild fire, therfore to prevent people infecting families and friends, it is very important to follow the below instructions:
When ever you travel to Guine, Sierra Leone or Liberia, upon returning to Norway you should observe your self for fever, headache, diarrhea or body pain within the first 21 days. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should immediately call 113 and wait for them to meet you at your home. NB: Do not go to the clinic or hospital by yourself! wait until the ambulance come and get you.
Do not be afraid to contact 113 because the Norwegian government has a very well equiped facility for isolation of Ebola patients. The health personals will give you all the neccessary help you may need.
SOME OF THE HINGS AMONG OTHERS YOU MAY HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH, WHILE IN EBOLA AFFECTED REGIONS
- Do not get checked or treated at any of the Ebola centers or hospitals that are caring for Ebola patients
- Avoid sexual activities with people in the Ebola affected regions
- Practice good hand hygiene
- Avoid direct body contact with people
